As the frost and the cold have started to creep in, and seems to have decided to stay for a bit, one might think that we are hibernating here at the WOLF School, yet this is not the case.
Instead of crawling into our dens, we are still out exploring the forest and continuing to work on developing and improving our already great programs! 2013 has been such a wonderful year here at the WOLF School, and we couldn’t have done it without you!
Looking around the corner to 2014, this is a great time to reflect and pass along gratitude, while continuing to look into the future. We ended our Fall season last week, and what a awesome season it was! We had a great start to the school year with a few team building programs, and continued through November to provide students with outdoor science school and California Living History programs.
This year all of our teachers, parents and students became official members of our WOLF Pack, with a WOLF Pack membership card! We are excited to welcome all of our new students to the WOLF School Family. These kids have come to us from all different cities, grade levels, and backgrounds. Without the hard work of their teachers and guardians, the trip would not be able to happen. We appreciate and thank you for all that you do to get your students outdoors!
2014 is a new year with more new experiences to come! We are continuing to grow, and are happy to announce our WOLF School Summer Camp at Little Basin Cabins and Campgrounds in Boulder Creek. A great way to expand and continue to stay connected within the Web of Life, our WOLF School Summer Camp is a week long over night experience. Camping, Fire Making, Hiking, Solar Cooking and some WOLF School highlights will make for a fun week in the outdoors.
Come back to visit us this new year at our 3rd annual Little Basin Festival on Saturday, April 26th at Little Basin. We had a great turn out last year, with food, games and activities, live animal demonstrations and music by local artists. Each year builds on the past, and 2014 will be no exception!
And last, but certainly not least, 2014 marks the 25th year of the WOLF School! We have moved, expanded and changed, and we would like to have you out here to celebrate with us. WOLF School has made an impact on so many people’s lives, and we are excited to hear and share in the stories. Look for more information and dates soon!
A final thank you to all who make this possible. All of the students that come to WOLF return back with a renowned sense of respect and appreciation for themselves, others and the world around them. We are looking forward to 25 more years, and we appreciate all of your support.
